Whoopi Goldberg and her fellow liberal hosts of “The View” came unglued on Monday as they slammed Vice President Mike Pence for remaining seated as athletes from North and South Korea marched into the stadium during the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics.
Mediaite reported that Sunny Hostin began by mentioning Pence leaving an NFL game in October after several players took a knee during the National Anthem.
“I thought that Mike Pence said that it was inappropriate to make political statements at sporting events,” she said. “Wasn’t he that guy who walked out of the football game because people were kneeling and not standing?”
That’s when Whoopi decided to chime in.
“If you’re in Korea, you need to stand up,” Whoopi said. “You need to stand up and show respect.”
Meghan McCain, however, wasn’t having any of it.
“I don’t think I would have stood either,” McCain said. “I have such a problem with what’s going on in North Korea. People are literally being starved into forced labor.”
